RALEIGH (December 17, 2013) – Earlier this year, Governor McCrory and the majority in the General Assembly refused federal funds to expand guaranteed health care access to 500,000 low-income North Carolinians. Because of this decision, thousands of working and struggling families across the state will not have access to health care, putting their very lives at risk.
On Wednesday, December 18, the North Carolina NAACP, Forward Together Moral Movement, and the NC Justice Center will host a Moral Monday briefing on this crucial issue.
The event will feature former Congresswoman Eva Clayton, among other speakers, who will be available for media interviews following the event.
