Jacquie Ayala joined the NC Justice Center in 2016 as the Energy Campaign & Outreach Coordinator with the Consumer & Housing Project. Prior to joining the Justice Center, Jacquie worked as an organizer with the NC Sierra Club on a variety of issues, including coal ash, solar, and the Clean Power Plan. Jacquie’s background is in youth and student organizing, and she worked as a statewide organizer for Florida youth on climate change before moving to North Carolina. Jacquie’s interests are in intersectional organizing and justice centered policy work. Jacquie is a graduate of Eckerd College with a degree in Environmental Studies.
