THOM TILLIS WILL BE THE STAR AT FIRST ANNUAL “TILLY AWARDS”
AFL-CIO and allies will present Speaker Tillis with awards for all he has done to North Carolina at 9:30am Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Raleigh, N.C. – Progress that took North Carolina decades to make has begun to unravel in the almost eight months since Republicans took full control of our state legislature and Thom Tillis won election as House Speaker. While Tillis and others in his caucus pledged to take back North Carolina, the rest of us who want our state to move forward have taken notice.
In light of all he has done during his speakership to undo that which has made North Carolina the best place in the South to live, work, and do business - until now, we will join our allies at the 1st Annual Tilly Awards to give Thom Tillis the recognition he deserves. We hope you will join us and our own Thom Tillis for this very special presentation.
