RALEIGH (Oct. 16, 2013) – The federal government shutdown and looming debt ceiling crisis are harming North Carolina, and unless Congress acts, it will only get worse.
That's the message former Rep. Bob Etheridge and other speakers will deliver at a press briefing today at 10:30 a.m. In front of Raleigh's downtown post office, speakers will call on Congress to re-open the government, raise the debt ceiling, and pursue new revenue as a core part of deficit reduction efforts.
