Investigative Reporter, NC Policy Watch
Sarah Ovaska is a reporter for the N.C. Policy Watch– a progressive public policy think tank that is a special project of the N.C. Justice Center. Ovaska’s responsibilities at NC Policy Watch include investigating and watchdog reporting on issues of statewide importance that appear on the group’s website.
Before joining N.C. Policy Watch, Ovaska was a staff writer and reporter for six years with the News & Observer in Raleigh, where she reported on governmental, legal, political and criminal justice issues. She also worked prior to that as a newspaper reporter for the McAllen Monitor, a daily newspaper in South Texas. She is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she majored in newspaper journalism and political science.
