Steve Jackson joined the Budget and Tax Center in November 2007 as a Public Policy Analyst. The majority of his work is on education and infrastructure fiscal and public policy. Previously he was a Research Fellow at the Workplace Research Center, a labor-market, workplace and organizational development consultancy based in the University of Sydney, Australia, from 2003 until 2007. At U Sydney, Steve completed a broad range of workforce development and collective bargaining studies and consultancies for predominantly trade union and state government clients. Prior to his stint in Sydney, Steve received an MA from the School of Journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill and a Ph. D from the Department of Government at Cornell University. Australian-born, Steve holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Adelaide, Australia.
