Dear Friends,
Fighting the effects of systemic racism is fundamental to the work that the NC Justice Center does every day. We know that Black communities are disproportionately impacted by the structures and policies that keep people in the cycle of poverty. This Black History Month, we recommit ourselves to ensuring that all Black North Carolinians have access to the resources, services, and fair treatment that they need to thrive.
Our staff has been busy preparing for 2023. Below, we’re sharing a sample of work that our attorneys, advocates, and policy experts have been up to recently.
