Laura Webb joined the Justice Center in November 2018 to work on improving the lives of people with criminal records as part of the Fair Chance Criminal Justice Project. Prior to starting at the NC Justice Center, Laura worked on the Criminal Justice team and Clean Slate Project at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice.

Growing up Laura experienced the devastation caused by the criminalization of poverty and race, thus she has dedicated her life to disrupting the system that perpetuates these abuses. Laura takes her lead from justice-involved people to advocate for the recognition of their rights. Laura is a native of Salisbury, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Duke University and North Carolina Central School of Law.
