Sarah Laws joined the NC Justice Center as the Leslie J. Winner Public Interest and Civil Rights Fellow in September 2021. She graduated from Duke University School of Law in 2021. During law school, she served as Executive Articles Editor of the Alaska Law Review, Volunteer Director of the Public Interest Law Foundation, and was a member of the Women Law Students Association. Prior to attending law school, Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from Pomona College before working at a legal charity in London for two years.
