REAL PEOPLE, REAL STORIES – ALL THIS WEEK

This week is the one-year anniversary of the passage of the health reform law. To celebrate, we have a new video every day featuring real people from around the state telling their own personal stories of a health system gone wrong and why they support the health reform law that is starting to make things better.

You can see all of them at our nchealthaccess YouTube Channel.

YESTERDAY WE FEATURED CAROLYN COMEAU

Carolyn’s story is compelling.  She was told by a health insurance company that she couldn’t get coverage because she wasn’t “squeaky-clean.”  In this case, not being “squeaky-clean” meant that she had made a bad decision to go and get breast cancer.  Carolyn tells her story here.
