RALEIGH (Oct. 29, 2010) -- While the Comedy Central news team of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert hosts a giant event in the nation's capital, North Carolinians will gather with NC Policy Watch to watch -- and participate on Twitter.
The combination "Rally to Restore Sanity" / "March to Keep Fear Alive" is expected to bring 100,000 people or more to Washington for an irreverent event on Oct. 30. In Raleigh at Tir Na Nog, NC Policy Watch hosts "Raleigh to Restore Sanity" beginning at 11:45 a.m.
NC Policy Watch will also have staff on-site at the rally using the Twitter hashtag #nc4sanity. They will send along photos and updates from Washington to go along with tweets from "Raleigh to Restore Sanity" attendees. Policy Watch will be streaming live tweets onto a screen at Tir Na Nog from those tweeting from DC.
