As Staff Attorney with the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project at the Justice Center, Maryam exemplifies a dedication to justice and a commitment to serving the immigrant community. Maryam is devoted to championing humanitarian causes and advocating for equal rights for all. Before joining the Justice Center, Maryam advocated for individuals in diverse cases throughout the United States, rendering her well­-versed in all aspects of immigration law. Maryam has zealously represented countless immigrants before the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, and other agencies. Maryam is a graduate of the Elon University School of Law, is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
