State Certificate of Need law important to ensure access to affordable health care: The NC Court of Appeals agrees with our position in the amicus brief filed by the NC Justice Center.
An update on the immediate benefits of health reform from the US DHHS Secretary.
SMALL BUSINESSES - HOW TO GET THE HEALTH INS TAX CREDIT: The IRS issues guidelines about how businesses (and nonprofits) can make use of the new health insurance tax credit. Good news - they've made it as easy and as broad as possible to help businesses provide coverage. Basic requirements:
1. Fewer than 25 full time employees.
2. Pay average wages less than $50,000/yr
3. Pay for at least 50% of the cost of employees' insurance
SMALL BUSINESS OR NONPROFIT QUALIFY FOR HEALTH INS TAX CREDIT? WE WANT TO INTERVIEW YOU! Does it look like your small business or nonprofit will qualify for the credit? We may want to interview you for our video project. If interested, just email Adam Searing (email@example.com) or Adam Linker (firstname.lastname@example.org).
